Political Ness

The Constitution should not be used as a shield for the guilty, but rather as a sword for the innocent.

Right-Leaner

“I have a really interesting political point of view, and it’s not always something I say too loud at dinner tables here,” the star once said. “But you can’t go from a $2,000-a-night suite at La Mirage to a penitentiary, and really understand it, and come out a liberal.”

Wow!  It’s no secret I’m a big RDJ fan.  I think he’s one of the most talented actors out there who doesn’t get enough credit.  (Except for accents, please Robert, don’t take on roles that require an accent!)  He’s been a favorite for a long, long time.

So I was very pleasantly surprised to see him on the right in this line-up of left and right leaning stars.  I expect Hollywood types to be liberal.  It seems to go with the territory now, although it didn’t used to be that way.  Now-a-days though, it is what it is.  And it’s a dangerous thing to be a right-leaner in Hollywood now – it can spell the end of a career.  It takes a bit of courage to go against the flow in Hollywood.

It’s nice to find out that someone who’s work you admire also has similar opinions as yourself.  That makes being a fan so much nicer.  Smile
