“that’s why I think every president should have a run at gaining experience by being a councilmember, a mayor, a governor, a VP candidate, a commercial fisherman, a hockey mom.”

All About *Her*

So I clear out my Reader and I have 3 articles left, 3 I’ve saved for last.

  1. From BookwormJames Taranto on Sarah Palin’s abortion effect on liberals
  2. From Backyard ConservativeLet’s Roll the Left. Sarah America
  3. From American ThinkerSarah Palin, Combat Veteran

All 3 of these are excellent articles and I encourage you to read them.

But they got me to thinking.  It’s no secret I love Sarah Palin.  I think she’s the greatest thing to happen to our nation since Reagan.  I believe we would be blessed as a country were she to be our President, just as Alaska was blessed by her governorship.  She is a tested and proven leader.

What’s the difference though, between my (and her other supporter’s) love for her, and the left’s love for Obama?  Are we no different than the slobbering sycophants drinking the blue Kool-aid?  This has been on my mind for awhile.

Sure, I love her.  But not for her gender, not for her race, not for anything about her over which she has no control.  I love her because of the choices she’s made.  I love her because she believes like I believe.  She supports what I support.  She stands for things I stand for.  She’s conservative, fiscally responsible, actively supports our military, and Israel.  She believes in my country just like I do.  ALL of it, every citizen of it.

And that’s the difference between her and Obama.  It’s sort of like Spock’s famous line, “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.”  That’s what Sarah is to me.  She aims at what’s best for our nation as a whole.  She doesn’t believe in oppressing any one segment of our country to build up another.  She’s not a “rob Peter to pay Paul” kind of leader.

Obama is more of a, “The needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many,” kind of guy.  He’s only about special interests, a specific economic class, a specific race.  He’s not for all of us.  He’s only for a few.  In my opinion, he’s only for 1, but that’s a discussion for another day.  He believes in oppression.  He believes more than half this nation is his enemy.  He does not aim at what is best for this nation as a whole.

Why does the Left hate her and vilify her?  At this point, I don’t care anymore.  I already know why.  I care about what I love about her.  If she didn’t have those qualities, I wouldn’t give 2 hoots about her.  Kind of like Romney.
